Guides for Brides - A Member Of The Gay Business Association

The Gay Business Association is the UK's only national trade association that represents gay and lesbian businesses. Non gay-owned businesses that serve and respect the gay community also form part of the Association. Established in 1984, the GBA is constantly growing in stature and influence within the lesbian and gay community.

The Association works in the following ways:

Business to business - They help to promote and develop businesses through a variety of networking opportunities and other services. A monthly networking meeting is held in London.

Seminars and training. They regularly hold seminars and training on a rage of subjects that are relevant to you eg marketing, using the internet to promote your business, employment law developments and financial planning. GBA members often benefit from specially reduced rates.

Networking evenings and social events. This is an opportunity to meet other GBA members at monthly networking evenings in London. It is often the case that networking evenings and social events produce new business contacts and customers.

Newsletter. This keeps you informed of news, events and developments within the Association. It is also an opportunity to make sure your business is known to other members either through writing a profile that can be printed or by taking out a low-cost advertisement.

Special discounts for GBA Members. The GBA has negotiated a range of special discounts for its Members. Many members of the GBA offer other members discounts on a variety of goods and services.

Directory of Members. This lists GBA members (other than individuals) and gives contact details and information about the type of business and discount offered to other GBA members.
